OpenCric – The Intro
OpenCric is an open source PHP script that allows you to create a full featured live cricket score website without any effort. Please keep in mind that OpenCric only features live cricket score and ball by ball updates.
Fixtures, Results are not available right now, due to ESPN’s API limitation. However, I’ll try to add ’em in upcoming version(s).
OpenCric – The Features
Live Score: OpenCric provides live cricket score of all international cricket matches. Live Score is Powered by ESPN Cricinfo’s API. That’s why the score will be updated as soon as a ball is played in the ground.
Cricket News: OpenCric features trending and latest cricket news from the ESPNCricInfo’s RSS Feed. Right now it only links to the news. I’ll think about fetching the news inside the script later.
Ball by Ball Update: Yap! that’s what I’m talking of. OpenCric provides ball by ball updates for matches with current batsman & bowler statistics.
Pre-Match Preview: It also displays the time when the match will start and also where the match will held. And also displays the players in squad.
Clean & Open Source:
OpenCric is 100% open source. The MIT License gives you full freedom to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute and whatever you want. And the code is 100% clean. Not a single byte is encrypted.
I tried to remove all the junk codes to keep the source clean.
Demo & Download
Download the latest version of OpenCric from Github Repository.
If you face any problem or find bugs please open an issue in Github. I hope I’ll add more features soon. Thanks for reading. If you find this useful kindly drop your comments & share it with your friends.
